Szabolcs Biro, Ph.D. is a senior chemical engineer of ECOPATH Industries in Scottsdale, Arizona. ECOPATH provides unique technology solutions and equipment for bitumen based industries, including asphalt paving.

He received his degrees in Hungary at the University of Veszprem, a British IChem^E accredited university for hydrocarbon processing and petrochemistry. Later he worked at Asphalt Rubber Technology Service in South Carolina.

He has significant experience in product and technology development programs for the hydrocarbon refining, paving and petrochemical industries.  For several years he has been dealing with utilization of reclaimed rubber for paving and roofing materials to satisfy different and special national/climatic needs in an economically more efficient way.  

Dr. Biro is the main inventor of a world patented asphalt modification technology and material (chemically stabilized asphalt rubber). Another of his technical solution (warm asphalt type of additive) is currently going through the patenting process. He has been authoring numerous technical papers and international presentations.
